Paediatric First Aid (EVENINGS, BLENDED LEARNING)

The nationally recognised qualification fully complies with the 2017 EYFS Statutory Framework. The course qualification is suitable for individuals aged 16 and above who work with, or care for, babies and children. These roles include teachers, nursery/pre-school staff, child-minders, nannies and au pairs. The course is divided into two units, allowing learners to cover both action for emergency situations, and the necessary treatment various other injuries or chronic conditions.

It is suitable for workplaces where risk assessments identify the need for highly trained first aiders due to the size of the organisation or workplace, nature of the business or the groups of individuals considered.

This course is for holders of a current First Aid at Work qualification which is due to expire, or where candidates would like to refresh and update their first aid aid knowledge, and revalidate their qualification for a further three years.

This course provides an introduction to first aid for babies and children, enabling learners to respond to a range of emergency situations. It is specifically designed for newly qualified level 2/3 childcare practitioners, or those who have an interest in child or infant basic life support. Whilst this course is recognised by Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), settings should also ensure that they have a suitable number of full Paediatric First Aiders.
